About the book
James Tiberius Kirk has traveled through television, animation, films, comics, and video games. As captain of starships including the U.S.S. Enterprise, he became one of science fiction’s best-known space explorers.
This illustrated entry in the What Is the Story Of? series looks behind his adventures: Kirk was not the original captain of Star Trek, and the show itself almost never reached the screen. M. D. Payne follows the character’s development and the voyages that made him a lasting figure in popular culture.
